Schedule a Passport Appointment
An online appointment system can be used to schedule an appointment. Online appointments are only possible through the State Department's online passport appointment service. By filling in their personal information, applicants can schedule an appointment. There are limited appointment slots. Each applicant receives confirmation via email.
The National Passport Information Centre phone number is required to make an appointment at a Passport Agency. Because passport agencies offer expedited services, they are often chosen by people who need to travel in a hurry. The automated appointment system makes it available 24 hours a day. Customers can either call 1-877-487-27778 or 1-888-874-7933.
To make an appointment at a Passport acceptance facility, visit the State of Department online site. Select the option to 'apply to a passport in person'. Fill out the application and provide a zipcode for any acceptance facilities near you. Once you have chosen a facility based upon your personal zip code, information about that facility will be displayed along with a number for scheduling appointments.
What is required for a passport appointment?
People must make sure they have all the necessary documents before they arrive at their scheduled appointment. For communication purposes, applicants must have an email address. They must also be able to provide all supporting documents such as a citizenship confirmation document, unsigned application forms, passport photos, and $145 passport fee.
How do I cancel a passport appointment?
Online appointment management is possible. Logging in allows you to view the status of your appointment (review an appointment), and there are options for cancelling. You can modify the appointment tab by clicking on cancel and reschedule. You can also edit the appointment date, time, and contact information, as well as the number of applicants. A new appointment must be made for any location changes.

Each appointment takes approximately 15 mins to complete. Applicants should arrive at least 10 mins before the scheduled appointment. People cannot sign applications forms if they don't have an appointment. Only a passport signature can be obtained at the acceptance facility near a witness (passport agent), who confirms signature under oath. The applicant must sign the application form before the passport process can begin.
